I had to give up photography when we moved. Not so much the taking photographs, but I haven’t been able to set up my darkroom since then. Our new home just doesn’t have the space required for it.

I miss being in the darkroom. *sigh* 5 more years then we’ll be able to move again and maybe I’ll get it back.

During my college years I wrote poetry for family and friends. . . . .It has been a long time since I’ve put the pen to paper and did any creating. . . . .Thanks for encouraging me to work on this. Watch out family–Grandma is creating some thoughts for you!!!!! I’ll start with the seven grandchildren because they won’t be critical. . . .Yes, I need to get those creative juices working again. I first learned to sew in the 4th grade and from that point on made almost all of my own clothes until about the time my 3rd baby was born and something had to go! The only sewing I have done in the last years is costume sewing (Halloween, play costumes etc.)

Although I no longer want to sew my own clothes I do love creating quilts for my children. I recently bought some beautiful fabric to make one for my oldest daughter – it is still in the box! I need to reconnect with my sewing machine!

I certainly understand how we all get behind in our scrapbooks! Way to go Heidi on your 9 pages!

I’d love to re-connect with my love for writing handwritten letters and cards to friends. I do pretty well via email but I still love *real* mail and writing with a favorite pen and pretty paper or cards. Dropping them in a mailbox to brighten a friend’s day is something I don’t do often enough. I’m moving that up on my “to do” list!

I really haven’t done any scrapbooking or cardmaking in quite awhile. It’s not that I don’t like it anymore, but other hobbies take up some of the free time and it doesn’t help that I no longer have a local scrapbook store to go to.

I think that re-connecting with these is definitely something that I will work on though. It always makes me happy when I DO do it.

I have stopped rubber stamping cards and other items. I have kept up with my scrapbooks somewhat but would love to have more dedicated time for that! Of course, I feel like those are for my family as well as for myself!

I”ve let my scrapbooking and quilting go to pot this year. I finally pulled my scrapbooks out a couple weeks ago and banged out 9 pages (patting myself on the back). I need to keep on going before my momentum fades. We’re having a girls weekend in a couple weeks in which I’d better get my quilt top done. I’ve had the squares sitting around for a year!

Old hobbies? Ham radio. Rappelling. Disaster relief (yes, I consider it a hobby. I was on a search and rescue team and red cross disaster relief team for years before I started having kids, and it went by the wayside out of necessity).
