Three things related to our word of the month…or three random things we thought of while we were shopping, driving, sleeping…well, you get the idea. The only thing we can guarantee is that Sherra thinks in threes and she insisted we do this on Thursday. She’s bossy like that.

Three things that you love to do with your girlfriends…

Leigh Anne says…

  1. Shopping, shopping and more shopping.
  2. Twice a week I walk with a girlfriend first thing in the morning.  I love starting my day this way.  Walking with my girlfriend not only keeps me accountable and gets me out there but I also love the time we have to stay connected and in touch with each other’s lives.
  3. What would girlfriend time be without some food!  There is nothing better than a dinner or lunch with good friends and good food!  Yum!!  And of course there is always something chocolate involved!!

Sherra says…

  1. Talking, talking, and more talking…mixed with lots of laughing!
  2. Because my friends are scattered across many miles and states, I try to email or call a girlfriend each week who I haven’t talked to in a while just to say hi and tell them I’m thinking of them and miss them. Reaching out helps us stay connected because we’re all so ridiculously busy.
  3. Lunch, dinner, dessert…you name the restaurant and I’ll be there for quality time and food. There’s just something about connecting or re-connecting over good food. Though I hear you can connect over good exercise but that concept just hasn’t worked for me like eating does!

What are the things you love to do with your girlfriends that help keep you connected?

1. Tea Parties (GREAT food & talking with adults)
2. Playdates at a park (kids having fun, talking with adults)
3. Movie & Restaurant Double dates (good food, good company, husbands get to bond, too)

1. Food, food, food, breakfast, lunch or dinner!
2. Travel – a girlfriend get-away at least once a year, not always with the same girlfriend.
3. Facebook!

1. Go to our LDS Temple anywhere in the world. Hong Kong and Manhattan have been two of our favorites.
2. Travel–favorite spots: Hong Kong, Singpore, Bali, China, Eastern US in the fall when the leaves were changing (plus a play on Braodway).
3. Exercise at Curves!

Yak on the phone. I do a lot of that.

Book club/girls night out! Oh that’s a treasured night for me.

Work out. That’s where I’ve made some of my best friends, actually.
