Over the past couple of years of blog writing and blog reading we have put together a list of our Blog Pet Peeves – things to avoid if you want your blog to be easy and fun to read!
- Avoid small fonts. It may be that we are just getting old and our eyes are getting worse but any font below a size 12 is just too small!
- Do not, we repeat, do not have auto-loading music on your blog. Nothing is worse than logging onto a new blog and having music come blaring out of your speakers! If you have to have music, let us choose to turn it on or off.
- Avoid flashing or rapid moving banners/ads on your site. It hurts our eyes and makes us a little queasy!
- Keep your blog easy to read. Along with avoiding small fonts do not use a blog template that has a dark background with light text. They are harder to read.
Do you have any blog pet peeves? We’d love to hear them!
