Melanie, I loved your insights about our abundance, and the gratitude we should have for our blessings. Jed and I should make some family goals as well. Your writing is engaging as always. Thanks for the muffin recipe! I can't wait to try it. It sounds and looks mouth-watering.

I got the recipe for the muffins from Melanie's blog last week and made them on Sunday morning. They tasted devine. So delicious! I wasn't able to get 24 muffins, and had to stretch the batter to get 23 muffins, so I only baked them for 15 minutes since they seemed to be a little on the shy side. They were perfect, and oh-so-tasty!

Thanks for featuring Melanie. The recipes look so yummy! Thanks for the suggestions to reach out of ourselves and help others. When my children were younger, we would keep a jar on the counter around the holidays. . . .The nickles and dimes that we didn't spend here or there would go in the jar. Many times we'd make pizza instead of buying and the difference went in the jar--same with movies (rented one). This way the children felt like they were helping out a cause. One year we invited family and friends to join us for a special Christmas goal. They were to only give money that they had sacrificed in some small way. . . .Our bank account received into the thousands and we helped many. This is probably one of my favorite Christmas memories. THANKS!
