Sunday Monday Surprise!

How about a Sunday Surprise on Monday? Because we like to keep you guessing. Or maybe because we forgot? ;)

Indulge us and get through this little story about how connections come full circle before you find out what the giveaway is!

Ten years ago in 1998 I flew to Portland from Atlanta for a regional convention. This was the first opportunity Leigh Anne and I really connected and got to know each other and I knew from that weekend that we would be more than business associates…we would be friends.

4 years later Leigh Anne invited me back to Portland to speak at a meeting. After that meeting, I took the train from Portland to Seattle to visit a friend who I went to college with back in the Midwest. It was in Seattle that I discovered an artist named Brian Andreas and some of his amazing creations.

Side note: An interesting connection…My girlfriend in Seattle is a native Iowa girl – and that’s where Brian is originally from.

Since then, I’ve purchased a very special print for my son that I gave him on his 16th birthday as well as his books and cards. This summer in Phoenix while we were working on this website, I shared the storypeople.com website with Leigh Anne. She ordered the same print for her daughter as she left home for college.

We both love words and love the way Brian Andreas puts words with his art. We’re so excited to share a boxed gift set of friendship cards with one lucky winner! Be sure to click on the link so you can read the stories on the cards.

These cards are a perfect way for you to connect with your girlfriends. There’s nothing better than opening your mailbox to find a card with a handwritten note from a special friend!

Special thanks to Brian Andreas and storypeople.com for sponsoring this fabulous giveaway!

Just leave a comment below by midnight PST on Wednesday, September 24th and we’ll have a random drawing and announce the random winner on Thursday, September 25th.

very unique. i like the way he connects the hearts of the people in his artwork.

I love them they would be great to hand out to friends and family even new friends I meet on line and at crops.

I love these cards. They make a connection in his written words as well as his artwork with an interesting twist.

Wonderful artwork. Count me in. I’d love to send out to friends and family. THANKS!

Beautiful note cards…I’d love to be in on the giveaway! Thanks…

Those are so beautiful with such heartwarming and heartfelt messages. They are things that we want to say but don’t know quite how to write ourselves. What a wonderful giveaway to share with us.

You can never go wrong with cards to share with friends! I loved the art that you gave Cali and if this is the same artist, these must be great, too! Thanks for your great website!

Interesting. I especially like the “handwritten” calligraphy quality of the writing. The nuns ruined my handwriting back in the day…it is just too Parker penmanship…it was all those hours of practice to make it perfect. Took all of the “interesting” out of it.

I absolutely love those. The quirky sentiments and the vibrant colours. They are just my style :)

very unique!

special, different and one of a kind!

I love your WOW and TTT e-mails! These cards look like a fun way to reconnect with girlfriends from the past. My fingers are crossed! :-)

These are fabulous! Count me in.

I’d love to win a set of these very cool cards. I love sending snail mail to surprise friends and family, who doesn’t enjoy a snail mail surprise once in while!?

I Love art- and these cards are way cute!

I love his work – I purchased one at U Village after dropping my daughter off at school in Seattle last year.

“I always wanted to invent something that would move around & make funny noises & would change the world as we know it
& I forgot all about that until we had kids & now I see I came pretty close”. Brian Andreas.

I love Story People. I was first introduced to them by my boss. He has quite a few hanging at school and they have been purchased for gifts for special people at school. There is something for everyone. You can go to the website and sign up for a daily Story People by email.

Great cards — who wouldn’t love to send (and receive) these? Thanks for sharing the storypeople web site.

Great giveaway! Nice colors and LOVE the messages on each card!

I don’t know what number I am but I hope it is the lucky one! I love to send notes but really like to receive them as well!

These cards are beautiful and would be a lovely touch for those no-occasion cards, the ones to send to say “I was thinking of you.”

Well, first of all I have loved these for a long time. And secondly, please enter me in, I hope I’m not too late. I’m in California on vacation and time has ceased to be real. Please don’t hold the Cal. vacation comment against me, as in she doesn’t need to win anything, she is on vacation and in Cal.!!

Hoping to be able to send some of these fantastic cards to my best friend in Australia, and other friends whom have moved East in the past two years. Thanks for a giveaway ~ to break up the day.

Okay, these are awesome and I personally think that it is about time that I won something….somewhere! ;0)

I was just thinking I needed to do some hand written notes… what a wonderful idea.

Wow, they look like wonderful pieces of artwork.

These look fun,I love to send cards! Tell someone thanks, I’m thinking of you–I especially like to send cards that make people laugh, we all need to laugh more.

E-mail is great, but sending a card to someone is such a wonderful thing. I love to get real mail and I try to send real mail to my family and friends so they can feel important. These cards are beautiful!

I love that the drawings on the cards are abstract, the use of simple illustration lines, and the graduation from one color to another. Such as the red into the orange and darker green into the lighter color of green. The cards are beautiful to look at and the messages as well.

I love your surprises, and this one is especially fun. I can get lost in stationary stores/sections, and I’ve seen Mr. Andreas’ cards before–they are lovely. You all have great taste–but I knew we shared many things in common after reading your posts these past few months!

Wonderful! I love it. Count me in.

I too among all the others would like to WIN these cards. Art with a message. I sne dlots of cards to friends and family and these would be great to share with them.

Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!

I love them and am really making an effort to stay in touch with friends I don’t get to see often—these cards would help! I love the drawings, colors, and their overall theme. Pick me! Pick me!

These cards are so cute. I love them.

hmmm… another Melinda? How about that? I LOVE sending cards. Everytime I go to buy one card for an event, I end up with 20! Help! I NEED These cards!! LOL
Seriously, they are really awesome. Thanks for the referral.

Awesome! Count me in!

I love receiving cards from people and even though postage has gone nuts, I still send thank you notes and condolence notes to others. What a great gift idea as well! I often pick up greeting cards that have something MEANINGFUL to say!

I LOVE Story People! I have received a print as a gift from co-workers, and I would really enjoy having a set of Brian’s notecards!

So fun, I just love cards. I love the colors!

I love the quotes!!! The cards are great.

I love to send mail to others and hopefully add to their day. Usually it is some of my children’s art work but these cards would work as well. Then the receiver would be able to figure out what the picture is without the explanation on the bottom! I still love the site, THANK YOU!!

Hi! Love the notes and I have been completely dilinquent in finding time to stay connected with friends. As a hard working mom of 2, I find little time for myself these days and am finding it harder to balance life and work. Perhaps some notes to friends are really a good way to stay connected?

What Darling Note Cards. Please add my name to the drawing. Love your site!

The notecards are just perfect to send to a friend or family member who needs some special encouragement. Thanks so much for your blog.

love it!
