Does the freedom of summer with kids out of school make you happy or crazy?

Leigh Anne says…

Summer means the reintroduction of college students into our home which makes me happy but at the same time crazy as we readjust to each other.

Sherra says…
Happy when they were in elementary school because we all did fun things together. Crazy now with teenagers because of driving and their independence.

A little bit of both. I like the freedom from schedules, but the kitchen is always a mess! When the kids were younger I got to plan the fun activities. Teenagers like to do their own thing and are all over the place or just sleeping in.

HAPPY. Because I/we no longer have to live by the clock and its warm and the sun makes me happy…the downfall, they eat me out of house and home. But you have to know I have SIX in my house… 20, 17, 15, 14, 7 and 5.

Summer is happy – but can also be hectic. Although one of my new years resoluton was no so many planned weekends during the summer. Have made many improvements!

Happy – staying up a little later with kiddo because there is not school the next day.

Hectic – so much to do so little time

LOVE that it’s light later and it’s so refreshing to go for evening walks!
