Simplicity Books

Three things related to our word of the month…or three random things we thought of while we were shopping, driving, sleeping…well, you get the idea. The only thing we can guarantee is that Sherra thinks in threes and she insisted we do this on Thursday. She’s bossy like that.

Three of our favorites books about Simplicity:

Leigh Anne and Sherra say…

  1. Simplify your Life – Elaine St. James
  2. A Place Called Simplicity – Claire Cloninger
  3. Plain and Simple – Sue Bender

I find the scriptures to be the best books about simplicity. They cut out all of the fluff and get right to the heart of the matter. I would add the conference talks from each LDS General Conference. I always feel that I can put aside my fears, worries, and all of the junk that I needlessly crowd into my life and get back on track.

I have the Claire Cloninger book “A Place Called Simplicity”. I read it years ago and only recently pulled it off of my shelf because I need to read it again. It’s perfect for what I crave right now in my life.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff by Richard Carlson.
Pretty obvious tips- but oh so true! It really helped me relax with my life.
