I truly believe this. A leader in our Church once said, “No other success can compensate for failure in the home.” As I raised my six children–plus many others that lived with us–I tried to concentrate on preparing them for the real world. I gave up my careers and stayed at home to love and nurture them–am glad I did. One of my daughters competed for a prestigious scholarship. It was given to another, but a note was written on her essay, “Why would be ever waste $50,000 on someone who wants to be a mother?” It was all I could do not to start a campaign for the values set forth in the home by dedicated mothers. Sometimes our value cannot be measured til many years later.
