Maintain Peace & Harmony?

Special note: Our iLashGirls site was hacked yesterday so we had to rebuild a few things from a backup so this post disappeared for a while. If you left a comment and you don’t see it now, please leave another one!

Leigh Anne says…

I try to be really organized and start early so I can enjoy the holidays.

Sherra says…

I block out several days where we don’t schedule anything so we can just be home and not in traffic and in stores.

We try to do some things that really emphasize the REASON FOR THE SEASON–attend our temple, prepare names to take to the temple, go to a performance of the Messiah, try to do some anonymous acts of service and gifts, show more love to all our family!

I usually finish the majority of the shopping before Thanksgiving so we can relax, decorate the house over a few days, work on our Christmas cards as a family and enjoy the Christmas movies/specials that are out. Ok…so that didn’t happen this year! The house still isn’t decorated neither is the tree for that matter but the lights are on and they are BEAUTIFUL! The cards are all handmade and hiding in a variety of places where I can’t find them. I still have 11 years of my nephew’s life to scrapbook in order to get his present done. So I just turn off all the lights but the tree and snuggle with my husband and kids and pretend all is calm and all is bright! LOL Merry Christmas!!

First, I’ve really learned that having my Christmas shopping done and not going into stores helps a lot. Then we also try to just spend time as a family and with our respective families. It’s also very important to us to remember the true reason for the season.

I make lists and just take my time. I like to enjoy the whole experiance! As for harmony. . . We get out all the Christmas music. I like to play my flute as my husband plays his guitar.
