We met our first day of nursing school and have shared everything since then, the good, the bad and the ugly!! I'm from a small town where there was one Jr. High (that dates me, since it's called Middle School now) and one High School, so I went from Kindergarten through 12th grade with many of the same people - and we're still friends many years later! I honestly don't remember when we became friends, but it was in early childhood. Our parents are very good friends as well. Even though she lives far away and we may not talk for several months, she's still my BFF. I'm delighted that she's going to come up here and run a relay race with me this summer. I have several other very long friendships, and it's been fun to rekindle some of those relationships lately through blogs and facebook. My friend Laurie. We have been through almost everything together, and if we weren't in it together we talked about it at great length so it was like we were together! I can't imagine my life without her. We never run out of things to talk about, we both LOVE to scrapbook, and we both have an odd sense of humor and make each other laugh constantly! Debi has been my friend for 40 years. We lived together in Snow Hall at Utah State in 1973-75. So I guess thats about 36 years! After many years we ended up neighbors--well in the same highschool boundry! When we aren't off visiting grand kids we try to get together monthly for lunch or quilting. Love those ladies! I have two college roommate that I have stayed close to. In the last year we have tried to meet once a month for lunch. I am thankful for friends - both old and new!
