Leigh Anne says…
My friend LuAnne and I have been friends since the 7th grade at Kemper Hall. Despite living far apart for the last 30 years we have kept connected through phone calls, emails and an occasional visit!

Sherra says…
Kerri in Michigan – we were in a blended class, she was in 4th grade and I was in 5th grade. (She was one of our guest writers in January!)

My longest friendship is with Lori – we met in Kindergarten and then in 4th grade ended up being neighbors. So that would be about 41 years! I also maintain some great friendships with friends from jr. high and high school – the group has been getting together faithfully at least once a year for a Christmas party since we graduated in 1980. In the last year we have tried to meet once a month for lunch. I am thankful for friends – both old and new!

I have two college roommate that I have stayed close to. We lived together in Snow Hall at Utah State in 1973-75. So I guess thats about 36 years! After many years we ended up neighbors–well in the same highschool boundry! When we aren’t off visiting grand kids we try to get together monthly for lunch or quilting. Love those ladies!

Debi has been my friend for 40 years. We have been through almost everything together, and if we weren’t in it together we talked about it at great length so it was like we were together! I can’t imagine my life without her. We never run out of things to talk about, we both LOVE to scrapbook, and we both have an odd sense of humor and make each other laugh constantly!

My friend Laurie. I honestly don’t remember when we became friends, but it was in early childhood. Our parents are very good friends as well. Even though she lives far away and we may not talk for several months, she’s still my BFF. I’m delighted that she’s going to come up here and run a relay race with me this summer.

I have several other very long friendships, and it’s been fun to rekindle some of those relationships lately through blogs and facebook.

I still keep in touch with friends that I’ve known since Kindergarten – over 40 years ago! I’m from a small town where there was one Jr. High (that dates me, since it’s called Middle School now) and one High School, so I went from Kindergarten through 12th grade with many of the same people – and we’re still friends many years later!

I recently reconnected with a friend from 5th grade (42 yrs) but have stayed connected with my friend Nancy for over 33 yrs. We met our first day of nursing school and have shared everything since then, the good, the bad and the ugly!!

Sherra. As she says above, we met in grade school and have kept in touch over the years. It has been great to reconnect with her life through this blog and her Sherra Life Lesson blog. Although that crack about the tow rope was totally uncalled for! :)

I have two friends I do mean friends, we met at age of five, I moved away after high school. We continued to stay in touch. With visit to Utah call’s cards, then came e-mail. We are 69 still sharing Joy,Tears and lots of Stories. Friends are truly a map of your life.
They are so important. Thanks Helen and Irene for your love.

My longest friendship is with my friend Joan. We met when my family moved into her neighborhood about 43 years ago. We live in different states now, but we keep in contact via the internet and by phone. I love her.
