Free Summertime Fun!

Three things related to our word of the month…or three random things we thought of while we were shopping, driving, sleeping…well, you get the idea. The only thing we can guarantee is that Sherra thinks in threes and she insisted we do this on Thursday. She’s bossy like that.

Three free fun summer things to do in your area:

Leigh Anne says…

  1. Go to Farmer’s Market
  2. Take a hike in Forest Park
  3. Ride bikes down along Willamette River

Sherra says…

  1. Go to park at Lake Lanier
  2. Visit Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta
  3. Drive up to Anna Ruby Falls

What are your favorite free (or almost free) things to do in your area?

Swim in one of 4 pools in our development
Ride bikes
Stay up until dark to catch fireflies

**Go to the wonderful Farmer’s Market in Moses Lake, WA.
**Go for a leisurely walk around the neighborhood in the cool of the evening.
**Have a picnic lunch everyday at noon. (I travel to my new husband’s work and take him fun lunches)

1. Go to the beach
2. Take a drive in the convertible (best if heading to #1)
3. Watch the Space Shuttle launch from the back yard

1. Work and sit in my garden.
2. Read a book on the beach.
3. Float on the river.

1.Ride bikes on one of the many trails near me.
2.Concerts in the park.
3.Movies in the park.

(Our city has tons of free fun community activities! These are just a few.)

1. Visit with my wonderful neighbors.
2. Go for a walk with my husband in the evening.
3. Sit in my air conditioned family room and read.

1. Dinner and tv – oftentimes BBQ in the summer with “Uncle Clay”
2. Go to Rood Bridge park for a picnic and ride bikes or walk around the park – and now you can play in the manmade streams they have!
3. Have a picnic in the front yard with our daughter Sydney and the two kitties – and thereafter retire to the backyard so Sydney can play in the water (pool, sprinkler, hoses – anything water)

Free concerts and drama in the park.
Sit around the fire pit in the backyard in the eve.
Sit in the sun and read a book.
