Three things related to our word of the month…or three random things we thought of while we were shopping, driving, sleeping…well, you get the idea. The only thing we can guarantee is that Sherra thinks in threes and she insisted we do this on Thursday. She’s bossy like that.

Three things we’re focusing on and looking forward to in 2009

Leigh Anne says…

  1. Being more aware of those around me and their needs, being more “present”.
  2. Like Sherra I want to build and increase awareness of iLash Girls and our personal blogs.
  3. Dejunking certain areas of my life and home!

Sherra says…

  1. Growing iLash Girls into a healthy, thriving website
  2. Enjoying the moments with my twin senior daughters
  3. Slowing down and not rushing to “the next thing”

So what are you looking forward to in 2009?

Improved health–Eat more fruits and veggies

Being kinder than necessary–Be kind, everyone is fighting a hard battle.

I joined a quilt group!! I’m excited to finish some projects.

Becoming a healthier person
Focusing more on my family
Getting rid of the clutter!

I am looking forward to a year with NO SURGERY! I am also looking forward to being able to put my cane away and walk normally–hopefully soon. I also want to be able to be more in tune to others’ needs.

I’d like to be more patient with myself and others.
I’m already in 2 quilt groups, so hope to get several ufo’s finished up soon before I start too many more. Went to a quilt show today in OKC and didn’t but any fabric! Must use up some stash….

I’d like to also de-clutter. Not just paperwork but everything else too.
Stop accepting less than I deserve because I don’t deserve better.
Find clearer thinking and don’t worry about everything.
Enjoy the feeling of being in the moment more!

My focus for January is writing. I have some long term writing goals and in order to achieve them I must focus on hitting a goal each and every month. Awesome blog you have here.

I also liked Cindy’s comment that everyone is fighting a hard battle- how true! And sometimes we forget to be thankful for basic things like a job, a home, a family and friends. Hope everyone is having a great start to 2009.
