What have you read lately? I get asked this question alot and I love to ask the question too. For years I have kept a list of the books I have read on my computer. Not only does it come in handy when someone asks me to recommend a book (since my memory isn’t what it use to be!) but it gives me a sense of accomplishment when I look at the list! I discovered a website that takes my list on the computer a couple steps further – not only can you keep track of the books you’ve read, you can also list the books you are currently reading and those you want to read in the future. The very best part is that you can invite your friends to join in the fun and you can see what they are reading or have read too. If you sign up – invite me to be your friend. I love fun fonts! Whether I am using them for my digital scrapbooking, my blog or on handouts I do for my church lessons I just can’t seem to ever have enough fonts. I have become quite the collector and the best part is they don’t cost me any money. If you need to spruce up your font collection be sure and check out my favorite website of free fonts!

I love to eat out and I love to cook. One of my favorite things to do is find recipes for some of the “eating out” food I enjoy and then create them at home. I love it when one of my family comments at the dinner table, “This tastes just like….” I have found recipes for everything from my favorite Applebee’s Oriental Salad to Chipotle’s Lime/Cilantro Rice. If you have a favorite restaurant food you’d like to create at home be sure and check out this site. If you can’t find the recipe on the site just send a request to the message forum and see if someone out there in cyberland has it for you!

Yes, it’s really true. I don’t eat anything green, i.e. vegetables. But I will eat green candy. Even though it’s not my favorite. But I love, love, love candy. When I found this site a few years ago, I ordered things for my Birthday Beach Bash and Father’s Day and any occasion I could think of. Retro candy – what could be better? I love their slogan, “Candy you ate as a kid” and I love to order “Ice Cubes” those chocolate squares I loved in grade school in Michigan. YUM!

I love to find a bargain airfare and then think of a reason to take a trip. Backwards, I know but hey, if I didn’t find a bargain, I’m not sure I could ever travel. I subscribe to their weekly newsletter and it keeps me posted if any city that I might *need* to go to is on sale. It’s also great to check to see if there are any bargains for Granny to come visit from Texas spontaneously like she’s been known to do a few times!

$8.00 eyeglasses – you’ve got to be kidding? But it’s really true and I couldn’t believe it either! Inexpensive enough to get a pair to match every outfit. You simply get your prescription from your doctor and you can order them yourself. Obviously, it isn’t the same as getting to try on the frames at a retail location but check out the savings and then you might want to do what I did!
Take a pair of glasses you already own and like and write down all the measurements that are described on the Zenni site. Then sit down and shop for lenses in your price range (I didn’t look at anything past $12.95 for my first order just in case I didn’t like them). Use the measurements to compare and get them close to the pair of glasses you already own. Place your order! I love my purple frames and purple sunglasses! Two pairs for around $40.00!!!
