I love the 4th of July. My grandparents always had a huge party at their house on the lake that included their friends, their kids friends, and their grandkids friends. Multi-generational I guess you would call it. Fireworks, a boat parade, and the (in)famous patio chicken! My husband and I moved to the same lake several years ago and continue the tradition. It is a party that we all look forward to every year.

Christmas is my favorite holiday. But in 2002 my father died and the girls in my family wanted to start and new active for us to do together with our mother. So since 2002 the day after Thanksgiving all of my mothers 4 daughter and her granddaughter would go the day after Thanksgiving and would shop til we drop. We would start at 5:30 am and wouldn’t get done until 6 or 7 at night. It was so much fun Mother and her 4 daughters would travel in one car and all the granddaughter would travel in another car. it was so much fun until about 2 years ago when one sister wouldn’t ride in the car with the mother and then the mother got upset. So since that time we haven’t done it. But Christmas is a time for family to be together and that is what my little family does we don’t know how many years my husband has for he has had 4 open heart surgreys and there isn’t anymore to come they had done all they could.

I am a woman for all seasons, BUT since I am totally pariotic my favorite holiday is the Fourth of July!!

Memorial Day is pretty fun because it comes as school lets out and the summer fun awaits you in the near future. I love all the holidays though, any chance to get together with family and friends is a holiday for me!

Do you have to pick ONE?! I, too, am a woman for all seasons, but my “favs” are the ones that come between Sept. and Dec. LOVE them all! ;0)

Anytime I can get together with my family is a holiday, a time to celebrate, and my FAVORITE.

Christmas and July 4th! We always had all our family and friends over for lots of food, laughter and love!! The best of times!!!
