Celebration Memory?

Question of the Week

What is your favorite memory of a celebration?

Leigh Anne says…
My husband Jim’s 40th birthday was a favorite celebration because everyone of every age–kids and adults together dancing to the live music in our backyard created a magical memory.

Sherra says…
My dad’s 50th birthday was a milestone favorite celebration – I’m so glad we were there in Illinois to make a big deal out of it because it is still hard to believe he passed away 10 years later, just two months after his 60th birthday which would be this week, December 10th.

In loving memory of my dad, Jim Fiege,

My parent’s 80th birthday celebrations has to take the cake for me. All the family (that could be there) was there to celebrate in a big way–including a family reunion, several dinners, family pictures, and a program complete with 80 of many different things. Mom rocked the cradle and married dad who is 5 days younger. The great grandchildren really got into the celebration. Lots of memories were created that day!

One of the best Memories I have is the fun times I had with my dad. He passed away in May of 2002. My father was a very loving and gentle man. I can remember a time when we lived about 7 miles from town and my uncle was living with us. The two of them made this big mud hole so that us kids could go swimming in our own swimming hole. My mother told him no and if he got us kids muddy he would have to give each of us a bath. Will guess what, each of 4 kids went swimming in that mud hole as a pool and when we all got finished. My father and uncle had to give us each a bath.

It was this kind of thing that I really love about my father he was a fun father and made everything we did fun.
