Probably one of the curses of our generation and that of our children’s is that we have had too much. We do not know what it is like to go without, wear it out, fix it up or make do. One of the true signs of a generation going down is when they forget the poor. It is a challenge for us to reach out to the less fortunate. Since our daughter died at age 2, we always look for someone less fortunate to do something in her memory at Christmas, her birthday, and other occasions. If anyone has had a loss, this is a marvelous way to turn a negative situation into a positive one. It also helps our children to look beyond themselves. THANKS for all your WORDS OF WISDOM.

I often say a prayer of ‘gratitude’, ask for nothing just think of all in my life to be grateful for. This helps me refocus my attentions to the blessings in my life not the difficulties. Try it–it is good for you!
